For the past 44 years Dungeons and Dragons has been providing thrilling adventures to players all across the world and it’s easy to see why it’s held on as long as it has. The most recognizable tabletop role playing game is as addictive as it is fun, provided you can use your imagination and have a set of dice. Here are a few reasons why YOU should be playing D&D right now:
1: An outlet for creativity!
The main point of D&D is to allow players and game masters to express themselves creatively to make some truly thrilling and interesting adventures and characters. It’s great for people who like creating deep backstories or intricate worlds.
2: A good time out with friends!
There are plenty of venues available to play D&D, but it’s hard to argue the most classic is around a table with a group of close friends. My favorite games have been ones played with a handful of buddies where we just roll some dice and have a few laughs.
3: Meeting new people!
It’s always fun to play with your friends, but if your friends are busy or you’re looking to make new ones, coming out to an open D&D game can be a great way to meet new people. After all, you all already have at least one common interest.
Dungeons and Dragons is played every Thursday at Graham Cracker’s in Naperville from 6 to 10 pm and every other Monday at Graham Cracker’s Plainfield from 6:30 to 9:30 pm.
