ELVIRA MEETS VINCENT PRICE #1 DYNAMITE ENTERTAINMENT
Bounced from one publisher to the next, Horror Hostess Elvira, Mistress of the Dark returns to the pages of Dynamite Entertainment. And as always, her tight black dress and snippy wit hits a home run! But this time she’s brought along a friend in the shape of a ghostly horror jack of all trades, Vincent Price! Mr. Price’s appearances here are well thought out and very true to life in the way of his mannerisms and speech patterns. All in all, a fun romp through the world according to Elvira. I give it a 9 out of 10 Grahams.
CRIME SYNDICATE #6 DC COMICS
Final Issue and what a hodge-podge mess of a conclussion. Not even close to the original version of Earth 3, random story points are thrown at us at a dizzying pace, character backrounds and modivations are tossed to the wind and somewhere along the line, DC’s big 3 (UltraMan, OwlMan, and Superwoman manage to force their way to center stage even though this appears to have been made as a vehicle for the new Power Ring and Atomica. I feel like writer Andy Schmidt got cheated as his story seems to be made for a longer series run and he was forced to try to fit everything into a mere 6 issues. I give this one a staggering 4 out of 10 Grahams.
