Next stop of the Graham Crackers Comics Tour is our Chicago Loop store! Located right across the street from Millenium Park and “The Bean”, the Loop store puts all kinds of comic-related material in the hands of the tried-and-true Chicago faithful as well as visitors from every corner of the globe. Much like the vibrant streets of Downtown Chicago on a beautiful summer day, with the sun and the breeze off Lake Michigan on your skin, our Loop store will remind you that The Greatest City In The World is the place to be!
First things first, there are a variety of ways to get to the store. With the store being
on the corner of East Madison Street and and North Michigan Avenue, all CTA train lines have a stop that will drop you off within walking distance to us! The North Grant Park Garage is also available for anyone making the drive out, which is just across the street, making us one of the easiest-to-get-to destinations downtown.
Once you’re in the area, keep an eye out for big windows with some of your favorite Marvel heroes and you’ll know you’re in the right place!
Upon walking through the revolving door to Comic Book Paradise, it’s very easy for sensory overload of joy to kick in. While we certainly aren’t the largest Graham Crackers Comics location, but we’ve done our very best to make use of every
square inch of our shop. The first thing you may notice is our Collectible Card Game section, straight ahead right when you walk in. Carrying a wide array of Magic The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh and Pokemon (as well as some Disney Lorcana and One Piece if you’re lucky!) we are here to provide any kind of fix your CCG vice demands.
Along the walls on your left will be all the newest comic releases from DC, Marvel, and our very extensive selection of Independent comics. Much like our comrades to the north in Andersonville, we also carry all the variant covers we can fit on the shelves. Gone are the days of living in paranoia that your fandom will be challenged by not having every single cover for your favorite titles! The Loop store wants you
to be teeming with confidence when the Imaginary Comic Elf comes to your house in the night and shames your collection for not having every Skottie Young cover
ever made! A very rational fear!
The Loop store also carries a plethora of toys, action figures, statues, Funko Pops
and plushies of all kinds. We know many visitors to our store are only here for the day, so we remain diligent in providing the best possible selection to choose from while you’re here!
The entire back half of the store is where you’ll find our corridor specifically dedicated to Back Issues. Providing fresh back issue stock every single week, there are countless new treasures to be plundered upon every visit. Plus, the only thing cooler than taking a Bean selfie in Millenium Park is getting your picture taken with
the giant Watchmen pin carefully crafted many moons ago by none other than Downers Grove manager Jim Brozman himself!
This brings us to the final section (which makes up nearly half of the store), the MASSIVE Graphic Novel and Manga selection. The members of our Loop team truly
work tirelessly to keep the store healthily stocked on ALL your favorite titles. The
collection of books we have here is very carefully curated to make sure whetheryou’re visiting from down the street, the Chicago suburbs, or someplace half a world
away, we have something at the very least in the vein of anything you throw at us. Books in all shapes and sizes (and even languages) await you and any member of our team is ready to recommend their favorites!
