TOYS FOR TYRANTS #T4TCUSTSERV ISSUE

From the folks at The Pulp Lab comes E.D. Brass newest creation. We all know that Wily E. Coyote gets his tech from his trusty Acme Catalog, while the rest of the super-villain world gets theirs from Skelnick Industries. These wonderfully entertaining vignettes showcase the world of the uncarrying customer service reps as they field calls from disgruntled super-villains dealing with the shoddily manufactured purchases. A personal favorite is the poor bastage who purchased the FDM-2600! Oh my sweet Simon Barr Sinister, indeed! I give it a 10 out of 10. You can check out more of E.D. Bass’s work at twitter:@iamericbass and at thepulplab.com .

 ZOMBIE RAYGUN #2

Artist Sean Luke shows that this tales was more than a one hit wonder! I, however, have to fight off the urge to fill this review with puns and double entendres as the title tempts one to do. Yes, our main hero is a zombie version of Ronald Reagan and yes he does carry a ray gun! However, while the subject matter does seem to scream “politics”, it really doesn’t. This is a weirdly spun tale that features political overtones but is telling a unique tale as Zombie Raygun starts down a  somewhat mystical path (literally) where old and new friends converge and one of our newest villains has already been killed?! The definate example of the word different. I give it a 9 out of 10. Zombie Raygun can be found on Facebook and through Indyplanet.

MYSTERY MAN ASHCAN #1

This wonderful slap of reality in the face of convention goers had me rolling in the isle! While not completely rude, it raises a valid point that faces the creators at conventions. At a mere 7 pages that are less than 3″x 5″ this little gem is definately worth the price tag! Even in this tiny format, artist Kevin Bixby shines with the inked and colored mini version of Mystery Man of Bluff City. I give this 10 out of 10. The various issues of Mystery Man can be found at www.bixtoneproductions.weebly.com and @Bixtone Productions on instagram.
